Modeling hydrodynamics and estimation of design paramet one bubble column

The hydrodynamics study was conducted in a bubble column of a pilot plant. The proposed model considers the bubble column as the combination of a series of N equally sized CSTRs and a CSTR with a different sized respect to the series. The results indicated that the liquid flow rate influenced on the hydrodynamic behavior more than gas flow rate. Besides, the model was suitable to evaluate the hydrodynamic behavior of different columns in several ozonization plants in Cuba.
